Everywhere you cook
On iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Your library syncs through your own iCloud, so the recipe you saved on the train is waiting on the kitchen iPad. On Mac, your recipe list sits in a sidebar beside the open recipe, and you can drag recipe files straight in. Share any recipe as a read-only iCloud link when someone asks for it.
Private by design
Nothing to collect. Nothing to sell.

Questions, answered.
Do I need an account?
No. There’s nothing to sign up for. Kept syncs through the iCloud account already on your devices.
Does Kept support external libraries?
Yes. If you already keep Cooklang recipes, tap Link a Folder and choose the folder. Kept reads and edits those files where they are, without moving or copying them. Recipes from the web, cookbooks or notes can be saved, scanned or pasted in.
Is Kept a subscription?
No. Save up to 10 recipes free, then unlock unlimited recipes with a single $4.99 purchase.
What is a Cooklang file?
Cooklang is an open, plain-text format for recipes. Each recipe is one readable .cook file, so any text editor or Cooklang app can open your recipes, now or years from now. More about recipe files.
What happens to my recipes if I stop using Kept?
Nothing. They’re files in iCloud Drive › Kept › Recipes, and they stay there, readable in any text editor on any computer. What if iCloud is off?
Which devices does Kept run on?
iPhone, iPad and Mac, including the iPhone Duo. Kept 1.3 requires iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or macOS 27.
