Common questions.
Where are my recipes stored?
In your own iCloud Drive, in iCloud Drive › Kept › Recipes, as plain-text Cooklang files. If iCloud is unavailable, Kept keeps them on your device and moves them to iCloud when it becomes available.
Can Kept use recipes stored somewhere else?
Yes. Kept supports external libraries (linked folders): tap Link a Folder, choose any folder of Cooklang recipes and Kept browses and edits those files in place, without moving or copying them.
A recipe isn’t showing on my other device.
Check that iCloud Drive is on for Kept on both devices, that both are signed in to the same Apple Account, and that both have Kept 1.3. A new recipe can take a moment to sync.
How do I get my recipes out of Kept?
They were never locked in. Open the Recipes folder in the Files app. Every recipe is a .cook file you can copy, share or edit with any text editor.
A recipe didn’t import cleanly. What now?
Copy the recipe text from the page and paste it into Kept instead. If a site never works, send us the link with the form above so we can take a look.
How do I unlock unlimited recipes?
Kept saves up to 10 recipes free. Unlimited recipes are a one-time $4.99 purchase inside the app, shared across your iPhone, iPad and Mac. There’s no subscription.
I bought Unlimited. Why do I still see the 10-recipe limit?
Open Support Kept from Kept’s menu, then tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with.
Does Kept collect any data?
